My recent stay at Erlebnishotel Kärnten was a delightful way to ring in the new year amidst the stunning mountain backdrop of Obervellach. The hotel provided a spacious room upgrade, complete with a cozy balcony overlooking breathtaking views – the perfect spot to sip on a glass of local wine with friends as we watched the sun dip behind the peaks. The breakfast spread was the star of the show, with an impressive variety that set the tone for our days filled with skiing and exploration. I must say that the hustle and bustle of the hotel during peak hours made it a bit busy, but it was all part of the festive charm. After long days enjoying the outdoors, unwinding at the hammam was the ideal way to relax. If you’re seeking an authentic Austrian experience that caters to both adventure seekers and those who simply want to savor the culinary delights of the region, Erlebnishotel Kärnten won’t disappoint. I have no doubt I’ll be back to indulge in more Tyrolean dumplings and toast to the mountain views with my travel companions.
